Project Manager - PMO (Technology & Business Initiatives)

Overview:
A leading global investment firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join its Project Management Office (PMO). This role will support enterprise-wide technology and business initiatives across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate communication, testing, and training strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage issues, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Oversee projects with complex dependencies, including IT security, infrastructure upgrades, and disaster recovery.

Governance & Leadership

  • Drive results with urgency and influence across non-direct reporting lines.
  • Take ownership of challenges, propose solutions, and escalate when necessary.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Partnership & Collaboration

  • Facilitate consensus on project direction through structured governance forums.
  • Collaborate with enterprise teams and business leads to ensure alignment.
  • Promote PMO best practices and lifecycle processes across the organization.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Create and present dashboards and reports for key stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Track project progress, milestones, risks, and financials.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Monitor project budgets, reconcile actuals, and support reforecasting.
  • Manage matrixed resources and vendor relationships effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience, including reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • 6+ years of experience in technology implementation.
  • PMP certification and/or MBA preferred.
  • Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.
  • Background in financial services is advantageous.
