Quantitative Developer
Our client is a leading electronic market maker with an established presence across Interest Rate Swaps. As part of a major growth initiative, they are expanding into Emerging Markets, with an initial focus on building out exchange-based market making capabilities in Brazil (B3).
They are seeking an experienced Quantitative Developer to help build and scale the technology underpinning this new business. The successful candidate will work closely with traders and researchers to extend existing market-making infrastructure into new products, venues and geographies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance low-latency trading systems in Java or C++.
- Build exchange connectivity and market data infrastructure for new trading venues.
- Extend existing market-making frameworks into Emerging Markets products.
- Work on co-located trading infrastructure and latency optimisation.
- Partner directly with traders and quantitative researchers to deliver new functionality and trading capabilities.
- Contribute to architecture, design and performance improvements across the trading stack.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience building front-office trading systems.
- Strong Java or C++ development experience.
- Background within market making, HFT, electronic trading or systematic trading environments.
- Experience building and supporting exchange connectivity.
- Understanding of low-latency and co-located trading infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with trading teams.
Preferred Experience
- Interest Rate Swaps, rates, futures or fixed income electronic trading.
- Emerging Markets exposure, particularly LATAM.
- Experience with B3 or Brazilian markets.
- VP-level experience or equivalent seniority within a front-office engineering environment.
