Key Responsibilities

This role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Overseeing capital activity such as contributions and distributions
  • Preparing periodic valuations and financial reports
  • Calculating fees and allocating profits/losses
  • Designing and maintaining waterfall models
  • Generating performance metrics, including internal rate of return (IRR)
  • Handling custom reporting requests from clients and investors
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring consistent service delivery
  • Maintaining a robust control environment for accounting operations
  • Leading and mentoring a team of up to 10 professionals
  • Addressing complex accounting issues escalated by junior staff
  • Enhancing operational workflows and internal procedures
  • Coordinating audit processes and ensuring timely completion
  • Managing onboarding for new clients and transitions
  • Recruiting, training, and evaluating team members
  • Collaborating effectively with internal departments and stakeholders

Flexibility and adaptability are key, as the role may evolve based on client needs and organizational priorities.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years in fund accounting, preferably within private equity or hedge fund administration
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with fund accounting systems (e.g., Investran) is highly desirable
  • Client-focused with strong relationship management skills
