Markets Compliance Officer
A multinational trading venue is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Markets Compliance Officer to join their compliance team in Dublin. The ideal candidate will perform generalist compliance tasks with a specialized focus on market abuse and surveillance. This role is critical in ensuring that trading activities are conducted in a fair, transparent, and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Compliance Tasks:
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular compliance reviews and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide compliance training and support to staff across the organization.
- Monitor and report on compliance issues and breaches.
- Market Abuse and Surveillance:
- Conduct surveillance of trading activities to detect and prevent market abuse, including insider trading and market manipulation.
- Analyze trading patterns and investigate suspicious activities.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and internal teams to address and resolve compliance issues.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments related to market abuse and surveillance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance role within the investment firms in the financial regulated markets space.
- Strong knowledge of market abuse regulations and surveillance techniques.
- Experience with regulations such as MIFID, MIFIR, MAR, IAF, etc.
- Technical abilities including SQL would be preferable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
