Litigation Manager

Position Overview:
Our client, a top specialty insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced Litigation Manager to join their team. In this role, you will take the lead in managing complex and high-exposure claims, ensuring they progress efficiently and accurately through the litigation process. You will also have the opportunity to act as a key source of insight to claims company leadership to support effective claim resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic direction on litigation management, reserving practices, and effective claim resolution approaches.
- Applies expertise in policy interpretation and legal principles to guide claim investigations and ensure accurate reporting.
- Oversees claim file development and collaborates with internal teams and TPAs to maintain consistent handling standards.
- Tracks litigation progress through regular updates from external counsel, including key dates and legal proceedings.
- Supports leadership through timely advisories, participates in claim-related travel, and contributes to special projects and other assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience reviewing coverage and drafting formal coverage letters.
- Skilled in gathering statements, documents, and working with experts during investigations.
- Manages claim files, sets reserves, and ensures legal and procedural compliance.
- Guides resolution of litigated claims with a focus on timely, fair outcomes.
- Communicates clearly and works well with teams, legal partners, and external contacts.
