Investor Relations
A leading alternative investment manager is seeking an Analyst/Associate to join its Investor Relations team. This individual will partner closely with senior fundraising professionals supporting a range of private markets strategies, helping drive business development efforts through investor research, pipeline management, market analysis, CRM oversight, and the preparation of meeting materials. The role offers broad exposure to investor relations, fundraising, and alternative investments, making it an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, analytical professional interested in private markets and institutional investor coverage.
Responsibilities
- Support fundraising and business development initiatives through prospect research, pipeline development, and CRM management.
- Maintain and enhance investor and prospect data within Salesforce, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across coverage activities.
- Conduct research on institutional investors, consultants, and prospective LPs to identify and prioritize fundraising opportunities.
- Build and maintain targeted prospect lists based on geography, investor type, strategy interest, and fundraising priorities.
- Assist with the preparation of investor meeting materials, including agendas, briefing documents, background profiles, and follow-up communications.
- Coordinate and track investor activity, fundraising progress, and reporting across multiple fundraising campaigns.
- Partner with internal teams to support RFPs, RFIs, due diligence requests, and other investor-related inquiries.
- Analyze industry trends, fundraising activity, competitive positioning, and peer performance to support strategic decision-making.
- Produce ad hoc reports and presentations using investor and CRM data.
- Participate in investor meetings, due diligence discussions, and internal planning sessions as needed.
- Help manage fundraising records, meeting notes, and ongoing correspondence with investors and prospects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
- Approximately 1-3 years of experience within asset management, investor relations, fundraising, wealth management, consulting, financial services, or a related field.
- Strong interest in private markets and alternative investments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize and interpret large datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including experience with functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
- Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with professionals across all levels of an organization.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset combined with a willingness to take ownership of both strategic and administrative responsibilities.
- Detail-oriented self-starter capable of working independently and producing high-quality work.
- Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred; candidates without licenses should be willing to obtain them within the required timeframe.
