Overview:
A leading global multi-strategy hedge fund is seeking an Investment Analyst to join a top-performing Portfolio Manager with an exceptional track record. The team is fundamentally driven and places significant emphasis on differentiated research, deep industry expertise, and the generation of high-conviction investment ideas across global equity markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep fundamental research and financial analysis on companies across the Global Industrials, Software, or Internet sectors.
- Develop differentiated investment theses and identify long and short investment opportunities across global equity markets.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and industry databases.
- Engage with company management teams, industry experts, customers, suppliers, and channel participants to generate proprietary insights.
- Monitor portfolio holdings, earnings releases, industry developments, and key catalysts.
- Support portfolio construction through rigorous risk/reward analysis and investment recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with the Portfolio Manager on idea generation, research prioritization, and portfolio monitoring.
Requirements:
- 1-5 years of relevant investment experience within the buyside or a top-tier sell-side research platform.
- Coverage experience in Global Industrials, Software, Internet, or related sectors.
- Buyside experience preferred; outstanding candidates from leading sell-side equity research teams will also be considered.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and company analysis capabilities; proficiency in Excel is required.
- Fluent English is required; fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated passion for investing, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to produce differentiated fundamental research.
- Strong academic credentials and a proven track record of independent thinking.
