Investor Relations Coordinator/Associate - San Francisco, CA (In-Office):
A leading multi-stage investment firm with over $1 Billion in AUM is in search for an Associate to join its San Francisco headquarters. The firm invests in top private technology company's across both primary and secondary strategies and operates a global platform supporting emerging venture managers, institutional investors, and public-market participants.
We are looking for a highly organized, proactive early-career professional to support senior leadership and core operational initiatives. This role offers hands-on exposure to venture capital operations, investor engagement, events, and cross-functional platform development within a small, fast-moving team environment. This position is ideal for someone who is a natural problem-solver, and improving internal-systems, not just executing tasks, but helping refine the systems to avoid re-occurring problems.
Position Overview:
The Associate will support day‑to‑day firm operations while contributing to investor, community, and event initiatives across the broader platform. Beyond coordination and execution, this person will help identify inefficiencies, troubleshoot issues in real time, and strengthen internal processes.
This role provides insight into the inner workings of a venture investment platform and its broader investor ecosystem, helping ensure the organization excels and operates with efficiency .
Key Responsibilities:
Executive & Administrative Operations
- Coordinate calendars, travel, and meeting logistics for senior team members
- Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively propose solutions
- Prepare meeting materials and track follow-ups to ensure execution
- Support expense tracking and core operational workflows
- Identify opportunities to streamline recurring processes
Community Platform & Event Management
- Assist with planning and executing firm-hosted events and broader network gatherings
- Manage logistics and address real-time operational issues
- Enhance event playbooks, timelines, and post-event documentation
- Contribute ideas to strengthen community engagement and operational efficiency
Investor Relations, Marketing & Content Support
- Support investor communications across firm initiatives
- Prepare, organize, and quality-check presentations and materials
- Maintain CRM/contact systems and improve data integrity
- Assist with outreach coordination and optimize communication workflows
Process Improvement, and Program Execution
- Maintain and enhance internal trackers, systems, and documentation
- Analyze workflows and recommend practical improvements
- Own special projects from planning through execution
- Bring structure and clarity to new initiatives as they develop
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required (MBA or equivalent early-career experience welcome)
- 2-5 years in operations, administrative, coordination, consulting, or project-based roles
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve independently and think ahead
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Experience with CRM or event tools (Affinity, Hub Spot, Luma, etc.) is a plus
- Positive, team-oriented, ownership-driven mindset
