Position: IT Auditor (all genders)

Location: Stuttgart area (hybrid)

Estimated Salary: 70.000-85.000€* base + 10% bonus

Hours: 40/week

Languages: fluent German (C1+) & English (B2+)

A well-established financial institution in the southwest of Germany is seeking an Internal Auditor with a focus on IT to join its audit and compliance team. The organization has a strong regional presence, modern digital services, and is committed to innovation and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and execute internal audits, with a particular emphasis on IT systems and controls
  • Support business and IT projects within your audit domain and ensure audit quality standards are met
  • Participate in internal committees or working groups related to your areas of expertise
  • Assist with the annual financial statement pre-audit and support external auditors as needed
  • Develop risk assessments, audit plans, checklists, and reports
  • Track findings and assess the effectiveness of implemented corrective measures
  • Conduct ad-hoc audits and investigations as assigned, such as fraud reviews, complaint handling, or issue-based research and analysis

Profile Requirements

  • Completed degree in banking, business administration, business IT, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of financial sector operations and regulatory compliance
  • Solid technical and regulatory knowledge within the area of internal auditing (especially IT and data security)
  • Experience in risk management, process analysis, control frameworks, and audit methodologies
  • Familiarity with organizational structures and internal governance processes
