Our client is a sustainability focused private equity firm who is looking to add a Vice President to the team.
You will play a key leadership role in overseeing and maximizing the performance of investment portfolios. This includes working closely with portfolio companies, setting strategic priorities, managing exits, and representing our client in board roles and investor meetings. The role involves hands-on oversight of financial, operational, and sustainability metrics, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with partners to enhance asset value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior representative in overseeing portfolio companies, including board participation and close collaboration with executive teams and operational leaders.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic portfolio management initiatives, including quarterly and annual planning to enhance asset performance and value realization.
- Partner with executive leadership to design and implement structured exit strategies over a multi-year horizon, including:
- Engaging with institutional buyers and strategic partners
- Coordinating with financial advisors and investment banks
- Overseeing the preparation of marketing materials and data rooms
- Managing due diligence workflows
- Provide high-level oversight of portfolio performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and delivering insights to senior leadership.
- Supervise and mentor junior investment professionals, fostering growth and ensuring high-quality analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with tenants, joint venture partners, and operators to drive operational improvements and capital project execution.
- Contribute to internal valuation processes and fund administration activities.
- Represent the firm in investor communications, including periodic reporting, annual meetings, and ad hoc updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- At least six years of relevant experience in investment management, private equity, real estate, or a related sector.
- Familiarity with investment documentation, reporting standards, and financial modeling.
