Head of Reserving and Capital
Our client is a dynamic and internationally active specialty insurance provider, delivering tailored risk solutions across a diverse range of niche markets. Operating across multiple global regions, they combine the agility of a specialist with the strength and stability of a major insurance group.
They are currently expanding their leadership team of a new entity and are seeking a Head of Reserving & Capital to support the Chief Actuary in providing strategic direction and oversight across both Reserving and Capital functions.
This high-impact role involves leading reserving processes, shaping reserve strategies, supporting risk and solvency management, and delivering both internal and regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will also engage with senior stakeholders, contribute to business planning, and manage a team of two direct reports.

Role Requirements:
- Qualified Actuary (IFoA or equivalent).
- 7+ years of experience in Actuarial Reserving, Risk Management, and/or Capital - ideally within the London Market.
- Proficient in actuarial systems and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Solvency II Standard Formula (SCR) calculations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Prior experience managing or mentoring staff is beneficial.
