Salary: $115,000 to $160,000
Company Summary:
A growing fund administration firm is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join its expanding accounting and client service platform. This role will report directly to senior leadership and support a diverse client base across multiple asset classes and fund structures. The firm partners closely with investment managers to deliver institutional quality accounting, reporting, and operational support, and places a strong emphasis on ownership, professional development, and long term career growth. This position is well suited for someone looking to step into a manager level role while gaining exposure to both established funds and new product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day fund accounting and administration for a portfolio of client funds, including cash activity, capital activity, and NAV oversight
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing ongoing support and acting as a trusted partner on accounting and operational matters
- Support the launch of new fund products, including onboarding of new clients, review of fund structures, system setup, and coordination with internal teams and external service providers
- Oversee cash positioning and liquidity across client structures, including intercompany and multi entity arrangements where applicable
- Review and manage revenue invoicing and expense allocations for client funds and related entities
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly closes, financial statements, and investor reporting
- Prepare and review reporting for banks, auditors, and other third parties
- Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable procedures and documentation to support firm growth and increasing client complexity
Qualifications:
- 2 to 8 years of experience in fund administration or fund accounting
- Strong understanding of hedge fund, private fund, or complex investment structures
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with fund accounting or general ledger systems
- Background in public accounting or fund administration strongly preferred
- CPA or progress toward a CPA is a plus
- Proactive, self starter with strong client service skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
