Finance Manager
For our client, a reputable organisation within the financial services industry based in Amsterdam, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with strong, hands‑on leadership abilities. The ideal candidate has proven direct people‑management experience and is comfortable operating in a regulated, fast‑moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting.
- Directly manage and develop a finance team, providing coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Deliver timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with regulatory expectations.
- Ensure effective cash‑flow management, financial controls, and risk mitigation measures.
- Support senior leadership with financial planning, analysis, business cases, and strategic decision‑making.
- Maintain compliance with Dutch financial regulations, audit requirements, and internal policies.
- Improve financial processes, optimise reporting structures, and enhance efficiency within the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., RA, RC, ACCA, CPA) are advantageous.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Finance Professional within the financial services sector.
- Direct people‑management experience is essential.
- Strong understanding of Dutch regulatory frameworks and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across the business.
