Job Overview
A leading quantitative trading firm is seeking an Institutional ETF Trading & Execution Analyst to join its front‑office execution team. This role supports institutional ETF trading activity across global markets and sits at the intersection of trading, technology, data, and client interaction.
The position combines real‑time decision making with analytical problem‑solving and continuous process improvement in a highly quantitative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Execution & Real‑Time Decision Making
- Agree and execute ETF trades with institutional clients using structured internal pricing frameworks
- Coordinate closely with trading teams to ensure accurate execution outcomes
- Manage the full trade lifecycle from pre‑trade through execution to post‑trade processing
- Operate in a time‑sensitive environment where precision, discipline, and attention to detail are critical
- Maintain exceptionally high accuracy standards, recognising that small errors can have material market impact
Data Analysis & Workflow Optimisation
- Analyse trading and operational data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Develop scripts and tools to automate workflows, improve monitoring, and reduce manual processes
- Contribute to the design and build‑out of scalable execution and operational processes
- Partner with development and technology teams on system enhancements and tooling
- Apply strong analytical rigour when handling and interpreting structured datasets
Client & Stakeholder Interaction
- Work directly with institutional clients alongside Sales coverage
- Clearly explain execution outcomes and respond to technical or operational queries
- Coordinate across trading, operations, sales, and technology teams
- Act as a communication bridge between technical and commercial stakeholders
- Ensure clarity, alignment, and precision in all interactions
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Strong quantitative problem‑solving ability
- Practical programming experience (beginner to intermediate) in Python
- Comfortable working with structured datasets
- Ability to build small tools, scripts, or analytical workflows
- Exceptional attention to detail and operational discipline
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Desirable
- Prior experience in financial markets or trading environments
- Exposure to ETFs beneficial but not required
- Additional language skills
- Experience working in technology‑driven or quantitative teams
