Cost Accountant

A global leader in advanced chemical solutions for the semiconductor industry is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its team in Pueblo, CO. This role supports cost accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit activities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support month-end close by analyzing variances and preparing journal entries.
  • Conduct inventory and COGS analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain and update standard costs, BOMs, and routings in SAP.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and purchasing to ensure accurate cost data.
  • Estimate costs for new products and assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
  • Reconcile inventory to the general ledger and manage reserves for obsolete inventory.
  • Track capital spending, manage asset records, and conduct asset audits.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve open items.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, including labor and overhead rate development.
  • Document procedures and support special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1-3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
