Position Overview:
Our client, a leading global reinsurance provider, is actively searching for a catastrophe analyst to join their research team situated in a cross-functional environment. This role will provide candidates the opportunity to work with top reinsurance professionals to adequately inform business decisions through risk analysis. The ideal applicant will have a background in catastrophe modeling with high level technical proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams to drive informed decision-making, meet regulatory standards, and enhance data accuracy.
- Deliver analytic support for underwriting and portfolio strategies across multiple product offerings.
- Oversee and execute data analysis projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Develop and apply rigorous testing methods to validate core modeling frameworks and assumptions.
- Clearly articulate analytic outcomes through both written documentation and verbal presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in catastrophe modeling.
- Skilled in programming languages, RMS and/or AIR.
- Excellent communication and proven ability to work in a team environment.
