Overview
Our client is seeking a driven and relationship‑oriented Account Executive to support and grow employer group clients within their modern, technology‑enabled employee benefits platform. This role blends account management, light consulting, and strategic client partnership, helping HR teams leverage tech‑powered solutions to streamline benefits administration, strengthen employee engagement, and drive better outcomes.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting employer benefits programs, managing client relationships, and working effectively in a tech‑forward, high‑growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of employer clients.
- Build strong relationships with HR leaders, benefits managers, and administrators.
- Guide clients on platform best practices, benefits strategy discussions, and ongoing optimization.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance client experience and improve outcomes.
Client Onboarding & Implementation
- Lead the onboarding process for new clients, including data gathering, system configuration, and rollout planning.
- Coordinate cross‑functionally with product, support, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate implementation.
- Conduct client training sessions, live demos, and employee education as needed.
Strategic Benefits Support
- Advise clients on benefits workflows, vendor integrations, communication strategies, and platform capabilities.
- Review data, reporting dashboards, and utilization metrics to drive meaningful insights.
- Support annual renewals, plan updates, and configuration changes.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales on seamless handoffs and support upsell opportunities.
- Provide client feedback to Product and Engineering teams to influence platform improvements.
- Collaborate with Customer Support to resolve escalated issues and maintain high service standards.
Retention, Growth & Client Success
- Lead renewal processes, including strategic planning and performance reviews.
- Drive strong client retention by delivering consistent value and solutions.
- Identify opportunities for clients to adopt additional products, modules, or upgrades.
Required Qualifications
- 3-7+ years of experience in employee benefits, HR tech, insurtech, benefits administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of employer group benefits (medical, pharmacy, ancillary products, compliance basics).
- Proven ability to manage a book of business or client portfolio.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Comfort working in modern SaaS environments and with technology platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a tech‑enabled brokerage, TPA, benefits technology company, or similar environment.
- Familiarity with enrollment systems, data integrations, and benefits workflows.
- Exposure to HRIS, payroll, or benefits administration tools.
- State Life & Health license or willingness to obtain one.
