Trading Systems UI Engineer - Real Time Applications
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance front-end applications using React.
- Build intuitive, real-time user interfaces used by front-office trading teams.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, users and stakeholders to deliver new functionality.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and drive engineering best practices.
- Optimise application performance and user workflows across complex, data-intensive platforms.
- Develop reusable components, shared libraries and scalable UI frameworks.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through to production support.
Key Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
- Experience building complex, business-critical web applications.
- Exposure to real-time data, streaming applications or event-driven systems.
- Experience within financial services, capital markets or electronic trading environments.
- Exposure to trading platforms, market data systems or analytics applications.
- Experience with technologies such as Redux, RxJS, AG Grid, WebSockets or OpenFin.
- Previous involvement in architectural design, mentoring or technical leadership
- Strong understanding of front-end architecture, performance optimisation and UI design principles.
- Experience working closely with business stakeholders and end users.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building high-quality software
