We're seeking a Territory Manager to lead new business development across a dynamic region in the mid-south and southeastern United States. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with brokers and agents, and has a strong grasp of commercial insurance and underwriting.

You'll be at the forefront of expanding our footprint in the education sector, guiding prospects from initial contact through onboarding, and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery. What You'll Do

  • Drive new business production goals within your assigned territory
  • Manage the full acquisition lifecycle-from lead generation to service delivery
  • Build and strengthen broker/agent relationships to support growth
  • Conduct initial underwriting analysis and pricing reviews
  • Deliver broker training and articulate our value proposition effectively
  • Align submissions with underwriting philosophy and ensure quality standards
  • Support cross-sell and renewal efforts for existing clients
  • Use CRM tools to execute a strategic territory plan
  • Analyze broker channels and provide actionable insights
  • Collaborate on risk management and claims issues for key accounts

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, underwriting, or business development with a national/regional broker or carrier
  • Strong organizational skills and a disciplined approach to territory management
  • Ability to perform meaningful market research and analysis
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Solid understanding of commercial insurance products and claims
  • Familiarity with the education market is a plus
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Problem-solving mindset with resource management awareness
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel, Word, and Salesforce (or similar CRM)
  • A proactive attitude and ability to thrive in dynamic business situations
