Overview
A leading alternative investment platform is seeking an experienced and commercially driven sales professional to support its continued growth across key European markets. This role requires an individual with a strong fundraising track record, deep regional connectivity, and familiarity with liquid alternative strategies. The successful candidate will focus on expanding the firm's presence among institutional and wholesale allocators, particularly within France, Italy, and Spain, while working collaboratively within a highly integrated team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead capital‑raising efforts for a range of hedge fund and UCITS alternative strategies, contributing directly to AUM growth across priority markets.
- Originate and manage relationships with institutional investors, private banks, wealth managers, and family offices in France, Italy, and Spain.
- Undertake frequent travel to meet prospects, conduct roadshows, and participate in relevant industry events and conferences.
- Present strategies with clarity and confidence, supported by a working technical understanding of hedge fund approaches.
- Collaborate with investment, product, client‑service, and operational teams to ensure consistency of messaging and high‑quality delivery to investors.
- Provide market insights and feedback to internal stakeholders to help shape investor positioning and business development initiatives.
Required Experience & Skills
- A minimum of 5-10 years of direct alternatives sales experience, ideally involving hedge funds, liquid alternatives, and UCITS structures.
- A well‑established network across France, Italy, and Spain, with a demonstrable ability to convert relationships into successful fundraising outcomes.
- Proven track record of raising capital from a range of allocator types and maintaining long‑term, commercially productive relationships.
- Strong technical familiarity with hedge fund strategies, enabling productive dialogue with sophisticated investors.
