The Role
We are seeking an experienced Physical Oil Trader to join the team in Hamburg (preferred) or Zug. This role focuses on trading physical oil products with integrated hedging strategies and selective speculative trading. The successful candidate will have deep market knowledge and the ability to execute trades efficiently while managing risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute physical oil trades across NWE, ARA, and Mediterranean markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Implement hedging strategies to manage price and currency exposure.
- Engage in selective speculative trading within defined risk parameters.
- Monitor market trends and identify trading opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in oil trading; mid to senior level preferred.
- Strong exposure to NWE, ARA, and MED markets.
- German language proficiency is mandatory; German nationality is a plus.
- Commercial mindset with strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
