Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Quincy, Massachusetts (Hybrid Schedule)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $90,000 - $105,000

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to lead and facilitate the implementation of new product lines, product updates, and regulatory changes across Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, and Automobile insurance. This role requires close collaboration with Underwriting, Marketing, Operations, Information Systems, and Claims to ensure seamless integration and alignment across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Analytical

  • Submit detailed System Investigation Requests (SIRs) involving deep analysis, problem-solving, testing, and validation.
  • Manage underwriting program changes and rate change projects, including testing and final sign-off.
  • Maintain and update system documentation, manuals, and guides.
  • Build and update agency guides and ensure accuracy in system file maintenance using Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, IF).
  • Conduct complex system testing and maintain real-time rating services.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead weekly meetings across departments to provide updates and drive project progress.
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts, sharing expertise in insurance, data analysis, and best practices.
  • Provide training on new products and system changes.
  • Collaborate across internal teams to resolve issues and ensure project alignment.

Project Delivery & Productivity

  • Troubleshoot and document system/process issues, coordinating with IT as needed.
  • Act as a liaison to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
  • Approve SIRs for implementation and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Business Insight & Innovation

  • Build moderate to complex queries to monitor production and identify issues.
  • Use data to validate system functionality and ensure quality control.
  • Recommend tools and procedures to improve team efficiency, including automation in Excel.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in Property & Casualty Insurance as a Business Analyst or Production Analyst.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong insurance product knowledge and ISO expertise.
    • Advanced analytical and technical skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Experience with database querying systems.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
