We are working with a systematic hedge fund seeking a Quant Developer to help build their next‑generation systematic trading platform from the ground up. Based in Milan, this is a mid-senior role where you'll join a firm transforming its stack into a modern, cloud‑native, high‑performance environment for large‑scale quant research and automated trading.

The Role
-You'll play a key part in engineering the core components of a systematic equities trading platform, including:
-Strategy execution engines
-Order & position management
-Market data ingestion pipelines
-Broker connectivity (REST & FIX)
-Cloud‑native AWS trading infrastructure
This is a foundational hire with genuine impact, your work will directly shape the firm's production trading systems.
Key Responsibilities
-Build and maintain production‑grade systematic equity trading systems
-Develop OMS/EMS components (execution logic, order lifecycle, real‑time risk checks)
-Integrate with brokers via REST & FIX with resilient connectivity
-Build scalable pipelines for market, corporate actions, and fundamental data
-Work across Python, PostgreSQL, S3/Parquet, Athena, Kafka
-Deploy and manage trading workloads on AWS (EC2, ECS, Docker) and Linux
-Implement secure networking, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience & Skills
-5-8+ years in professional software engineering
-Strong production‑level Python
-Trading/financial systems experience
-PostgreSQL expertise (schema design, indexing, tuning)
AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, IAM)
-Linux systems administration
-Distributed systems & real‑time workloads
-Solid understanding of equities market structure & trade lifecycle
