Pricing Actuary | London Market
Selby Jennings have partnered with a leading Lloyd's syndicate, seeking a Pricing Actuary to join its London Market Pricing team London. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality actuarial support across a diverse portfolio, driving pricing strategy and contributing to business planning.
The successful candidate will work closely with underwriters and senior stakeholders to deliver technical pricing advice, maintain and develop pricing tools, and conduct portfolio analyses to validate assumptions and improve methodologies. They will also play a key role in monitoring pricing adequacy, supporting reserving and capital modelling teams, and contributing to process improvements across the business. This position offers exposure to innovative projects and the chance to influence pricing frameworks that shape underwriting decisions.
This is a high-impact position offering direct exposure to underwriting and senior leadership, with scope for innovation, technical development, and career progression in a collaborative environment.
Role Requirements:
- Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary (up to 1 year PQE).
- 3+ years in pricing commercial or specialty re/insurance.
- Strong technical pricing skills, including knowledge of programming languages, actuarial techniques and software; prior experience using HX, Python, and VBA highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate complex actuarial output to underwriters and management.
- Familiarity with London Market practices and UK Commercial & Specialty Lines.
