Macro Analyst
We're partnered with a Global Quant Hedge fund seeking a Macro Analyst to join a growing, high‑caliber investment platform. This is an opportunity to directly under an experienced Portfolio Manager who values broad intellectual curiosity, cross‑asset awareness, and the ability to generate differentiated, high‑conviction ideas.
The team is in an expansion phase led by a recently onboarded macro PM, creating a unique chance for the incoming hire to contribute meaningfully from day one and help shape the team's analytical identity and research culture. This position is explicitly designed for an analyst with wide market coverage and the ability to move fluidly across FX, rates, equities, commodities, and other global macro markets. The ability to interpret, articulate, and forecast directional momentum is critical. Desireable candidates will be those who thrive on synthesizing information quickly, spotting thematic shifts early, and translating these insights into clear, actionable trade ideas for the PM.
This role centers on idea generation rather than risk‑taking, making it ideal for candidates who excel at macro thinking, research, and cross‑asset pattern recognition.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify short‑, medium‑, and long‑term momentum trends.
- Capture asymmetric opportunities where market direction is clear or strengthening.
- Tie together price, macro data, sentiment, and positioning into a coherent, directional view.
- The ability to frame markets in terms of flows, pressure points, trend sustainability, and regime shifts is highly valuable.
- Supporting data, charts, and reasoning to facilitate PM decision‑making.
