Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading boutique focused on Consumer Investment Banking focused on Beauty and Fashion Mergers and Acquisitions in the Middle Market and Large Cap space. This Investment Bank is comprised of sharp individuals from Ivy Leagues/top schools, and boasts a 25+ year track record of execellence working with notable brand names across industry.
They are looking to bring a 2 Associates to execute on their strong pipeline of deals with ideal candidates come from Consumer Investment Banking groups and holding Associate 1 or 2 titles, but Senior Analysts are also encourged to apply. Candidates must be based in or open to relocating to Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side mandates.
- Develop and review financial models, valuation analyses (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable companies), and client presentations.
- Conduct industry and company-specific research to support business development and deal execution.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage communication between clients, potential buyers/sellers, and internal deal teams.
- Mentor and manage Analysts, providing guidance on deliverables and professional development.
- Participate in client meetings, pitch presentations, and strategic discussions.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, with at least 1-2 years at the Associate level.
- Strong transaction experience, ideally with exposure to consumer M&A.
- MBA from a top-tier program or equivalent experience preferred.
- Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
