The Role
A leading international investment bank is seeking an entry‑level Investment Banking Analyst to join its European Financial Institutions Group in London. The role sits within a specialist Wealth & Asset Management M&A and Public Company M&A platform, offering exposure to high‑profile advisory assignments across public and private transactions.
The Analyst will support deal teams advising asset managers, wealth managers, and listed financial institutions across Europe, working closely with senior bankers on origination, execution, and strategic advisory mandates.
Responsibilities
* Financial modelling, valuation analysis, and scenario analysis
* Preparation of client pitch materials and transaction documentation
* Company and sector research focused on European financial institutions
* Supporting execution across live M&A and strategic advisory mandates
* Assisting with due diligence processes and data room coordination
* Working closely with senior bankers on client‑facing deliverables
Candidate Profile
This opportunity is suited to a highly academic and numerate graduate looking to begin their investment banking career within a specialist FIG advisory team.
Requirements
* Excellent undergraduate academic record. Oxbridge, Ivy League, or clear international equivalent
* No accountancy background and no ACA qualified candidates
* Strong numeracy, ideally evidenced through STEM A‑levels, degree, or equivalent
* Strong analytical capability and attention to detail
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Able to perform in a high‑intensity, transaction‑driven environment
* Professional, driven, and intellectually curious
