I'm currently partnering with a highly respected boutique investment bank that is strengthening its Global Markets Internal Audit function. As part of their continued growth, I'm seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join their London office and take ownership of front‑to‑back audits across a broad range of trading activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious auditor who wants real visibility, senior stakeholder interaction and the ability to influence key decisions within a lean, high‑calibre team.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering risk‑based audits across the bank's Global Markets business including sales & trading, derivatives, FX, fixed income and electronic trading. This position offers strong exposure, autonomy and the chance to work closely with senior leaders across the front office and control functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute end‑to‑end audits across Global Markets
- Evaluate front‑to‑back processes and identify control gaps along the trade lifecycle
- Produce high‑quality audit plans, working papers and reports
- Engage confidently with senior stakeholders across Trading, Risk, Compliance and Operations
- Monitor emerging regulatory themes (MiFID II, EMIR, MAR, SMCR etc.)
- Contribute to annual audit planning and ongoing risk assessments
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
Candidate Profile
I'm keen to speak with professionals who have:
- Strong Internal Audit background from an investment bank or Big 4 consulting firm
- Solid understanding of trading products, market risks, valuation concepts and front‑to‑back workflows
- Strong communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
- A proactive mindset, analytical approach and the confidence to operate with autonomy
- Professional qualifications (ACA, CIA, CFA, FRM) welcome but not essential
