Role Purpose
The Executive Director will oversee business management activities for the Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, and Investment Banking teams in Europe. Acting as a strategic partner and liaison between front-office leadership and internal support functions, this role ensures alignment of business objectives, operational efficiency, and compliance with governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Planning
- Drive and support strategic planning initiatives for corporate and investment banking leadership.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams to implement business plans and manage new projects.
- Lead risk assessments for change initiatives and oversee project execution.
- Prepare high-quality presentations for senior management, internal forums, and external events.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and regulatory requirements across all business lines.
- Oversee audits, manage remediation processes, and maintain accurate policy documentation.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and corporate services on vendor agreements and regulatory matters.
- Implement and monitor internal controls, ensuring robust documentation and compliance standards.
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Partner with finance teams to produce management reports, board presentations, and operational risk dashboards.
- Analyze performance metrics and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across operations, risk, technology, and compliance.
- Act as a key point of contact for regional and global initiatives, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
Leadership & Decision-Making
- Manage team performance, recruitment, and development within the business management function.
- Exercise authority to optimize processes and enhance operational effectiveness while safeguarding confidentiality.
Requirements
- University degree in business or finance; professional qualifications (CFA, MBA, accounting designation) preferred.
- 5-7 years in capital markets or wholesale banking, with exposure to corporate and investment banking operations. Project management experience is advantageous.

- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
