Euro Swaps Trader - VP/Director
A leading European financial institution is seeking a highly experienced and commercially minded VP or Director-level EUR Swaps Trader to join its Paris-based Rates Trading team. This is a strategic hire within a well-established and globally integrated platform, offering significant scope to contribute to the growth and direction of the EUR Rates business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead trading activity across the EUR Swaps curve, managing complex risk positions and driving consistent profitability.
- Develop and implement trading strategies based on macroeconomic trends, client flows, and market dynamics.
- Partner with sales, structuring, and research teams to deliver innovative and client-centric solutions.
- Mentor junior traders and contribute to the development of talent across the desk.
- Ensure full compliance with internal risk policies and external regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile:
- Extensive experience in EUR Swaps trading, ideally at VP or Director level.
- Strong understanding of European rates markets, macroeconomic drivers, and regulatory landscape.
- Proven track record of generating revenue and managing risk effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English; French is a plus but not essential.
