Equity Analyst
We are currently working with an Investment Management Firm with a long‑term, fundamental investment approach managing public equity strategies. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to hire an experienced Equity Analyst/Investment Director to join their investment team, with primary responsibility for China equities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in‑depth, bottom‑up research on Chinese equities across relevant sectors and markets, including company analysis, industry research, and competitive positioning.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation frameworks to support investment recommendations and risk‑return assessment.
- Identify, develop, and present high‑conviction investment ideas aligned with a long‑term, fundamental investment philosophy.
- Monitor existing portfolio holdings, track company and sector developments, and provide ongoing analysis to support portfolio management decisions.
- Prepare written investment notes, research updates, and presentations for internal discussion, contributing actively to investment meetings and portfolio reviews.
Qualifications
- At least 10 - 15 years of experience in equity analysis, equity research, or related fields.
- Prior coverage of China equities is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CFA, CPA, or advanced qualifications (e.g. MBA) preferred.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
