A leading global investment firm is seeking a Data Analyst to join a high-performing equities team. This role offers the chance to work directly with a Portfolio Manager and research analysts, while collaborating with quants and technical specialists across the wider equities platform.
About the Role
You'll play a key role in connecting data with investment ideas, leveraging large volumes of alternative and fundamental data to support both fundamental and quantamental strategies. The position combines hands-on data engineering with analytical insight, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to communicate findings clearly for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with a Portfolio Manager and research team to deliver actionable insights that influence investment strategy.
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and models for high-volume, diverse datasets.
- Explore innovative approaches to extract and synthesize information from structured, unstructured, and time-series data.
- Collaborate with quants and technical team members to optimize workflows and infrastructure.
- Present complex analyses in a clear, impactful way to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong programming skills in Python (experience with Polars or similar libraries a plus).
- Proven ability to work with large datasets and apply statistical concepts to financial data.
- Experience in equities or strong interest in applying data to investment research.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
