Corporate Development & Strategy Lead (M&A)

We are looking for a strategic and execution-oriented professional to lead M&A and corporate development initiatives for a fast-growing fintech company. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in managing end-to-end M&A transactions, including post-merger integration. Strong skills in financial analysis, stakeholder coordination, and deck-making for executive pitches are essential. Familiarity with the fintech or financial services sector is preferred, along with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with senior leadership.

Job Description

Target Identification & Deal Sourcing

  • Actively scout and evaluate potential acquisition targets that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Initiate contact and engage in early-stage discussions with prospective companies.

Due Diligence & Execution

  • Lead comprehensive due diligence across financial, operational, commercial, and strategic dimensions.
  • Coordinate internal teams (e.g., legal, finance, HR, tech) and external parties (e.g., vendors, advisors, target management) throughout the deal process.
  • Develop investment proposals, business cases, and presentation materials for leadership and board review.
  • Support deal structuring, negotiations, and final execution.

Post-Merger Integration (PMI)

  • Drive integration efforts across functions, ensuring alignment in operations, finance, and culture.
  • Track and report progress against integration goals and synergy targets.

Candidate Profile

  • 4-8 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or strategy consulting.
  • Demonstrated success in managing M&A deals from origination through integration.
  • Experience in post-merger integration is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and valuation capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English.
  • Familiarity with fintech or financial services is preferred.
  • Self-starter with a bias for execution, comfortable in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Based in Singapore, with flexibility for regional travel.
