We are working with a leading global hedge fund that is building out its fundamental equity research function. This is a rare opportunity to own the Consumer & Retail sector within a multi-billion-dollar platform and play a pivotal role in shaping its equity strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the sole fundamental analyst for Consumer & Retail, ideally with a focus on hardlines (broader coverage welcome).
- Partner with macro PMs to deliver thematic, macro-driven insights that inform portfolio decisions.
- Develop and maintain coverage on key names, providing actionable research and sector outlooks.
- Drive thought leadership on trends impacting Consumer & Retail globally.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of sell-side equity research experience in Consumer & Retail.
- Must have launched or led coverage on specific names (not just supporting).
- Strong ability to think thematically and macro-oriented, rather than purely quantitative.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
