Investment Grade Credit Trader - Vice President
A leading European bank is seeking a seasoned Investment Grade Corporate Credit Trader to join its dynamic trading team in Paris. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to contribute to a well-established credit trading platform, with direct responsibility for market-making, risk management, and client engagement across euro-denominated corporate bonds.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute trades in euro-denominated investment grade corporate bonds, ensuring optimal pricing and risk management.
- Provide liquidity and market-making services to institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, and insurance companies.
- Monitor market developments, credit events, and macroeconomic trends to identify trading opportunities and manage portfolio risk.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to deliver tailored solutions and insights to clients.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with key market participants, including syndicate desks and external counterparties.
- Contribute to the development of trading strategies and pricing models in alignment with regulatory and internal risk frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in investment grade credit trading, with a strong track record in European corporate bonds.
- Deep understanding of credit markets, fixed income instruments, and trading platforms.
- Proven ability to manage risk and generate consistent trading revenues.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with credit research and valuation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and geographies.
- Fluency in English; French language skills are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced qualifications (e.g., CFA) are advantageous.
