Windows Platform Engineer (VMware) - Hong Kong
About the Role
Our client, a leading global financial services firm, is seeking a Windows Platform Engineer with strong VMware expertise to join their dynamic technology team in Hong Kong. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-performance environment supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server environments across multiple data centers.
- Manage and optimise VMware virtualisation platforms, including ESXi and vCenter.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security in a 24/7 trading environment.
- Perform patching, upgrades, and performance tuning for Windows and VMware systems.
- Collaborate with global teams on infrastructure projects and incident resolution.
- Develop automation scripts and documentation to streamline operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and VMware virtualisation.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and related tools.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Financial services experience is a plus but not mandatory.
