Are you a seasoned actuarial or underwriting expert with deep experience in pricing and risk strategy? Our client, a top-tier provider in the Extended Warranty and Vehicle Service Contract space operating as a Managing General Agent (MGA), is seeking a Lead Actuary and/or Underwriter to join their senior leadership team.
🔍 About the Role:
This is a high-impact, fully remote position where you'll lead pricing and underwriting strategy across a growing portfolio of warranty and service contract products. You'll work closely with executive leadership to drive profitability, innovation, and operational excellence.
💼 Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine pricing models for extended warranty and vehicle service contract products.
- Provide actuarial and underwriting leadership to support product development and risk management.
- Analyze portfolio performance and recommend strategic adjustments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, sales, and operations.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of innovation and accountability.
✅ Ideal Candidate:
- 8+ years of experience in P&C insurance, with a strong focus on pricing and/or underwriting.
- Direct experience with extended warranties, vehicle service contracts, or similar specialty lines.
- Proven ability to build and manage pricing models and risk frameworks.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- ACAS, CPCU, or similar designations are a plus.
