Overview:
A software-focused private equity firm based in Atlanta is looking to add a Software Investor (Business Development Associate) to their high-performing team. You will play a critical role in identifying and engaging software executives and market intermediaries to uncover new investment opportunities. You'll work closely with the Head of Business Development, investment professionals, and operating partners to support the firm's outbound sourcing strategy.
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for:
Maintain coverage of hundreds of software companies aligned with the firm's investment profile
Conduct market research to define and map software segments and identify new opportunities
Prospect via email, LinkedIn, phone, and other channels to engage executives
Rapidly assess potential investment opportunities
Collaborate with investment and operations teams to identify add-on acquisition targets
Build and nurture networks with industry participants and decision-makers
Support live due diligence efforts through expert interviews and market analysis
The Business Development Associate should have:
2 - 5 years of experience in PE/VC, deal sourcing and/or business development
Strong ambition and competitive drive with the ability to work independently
Data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High intellectual horsepower and curiosity
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; CRM and marketing automation experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree required with outstanding academic and professional performance
