Senior Pricing Actuary - Reinsurance
Selby Jennings have partnered with a dynamic and growing reinsurer in Bermuda, actively seeking to expand their actuarial pricing team with a senior-level hire.
They are looking for a Qualified Actuary with 10+ years of experience to take on a leadership role focused on pricing across Property, Casualty, and Specialty reinsurance lines. This is a high-impact position reporting directly to the Chief Actuary, offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape pricing strategy at both the account and portfolio level.
The role involves close collaboration with underwriting teams to support treaty pricing, model development, and portfolio optimization. You'll also contribute to broader actuarial initiatives including capital modelling, reserving, and business planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in mentoring junior team members and embedding best practices across pricing governance and methodology.
Role Requirements:
- Qualified Actuary with 10+ years of experience in reinsurance pricing, ideally within Specialty lines.
- Strong technical pricing and modelling skills, with experience using tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Tyche or Radar.
- Proven ability to communicate pricing insights to senior stakeholders and influence underwriting decisions.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior actuarial staff is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Bermuda (relocation support provided).
