Risk Manager
As Risk Manager, you'll play a key role in overseeing the risk framework for both traditional and alternative investment vehicles (UCITS and AIFs). You'll contribute to the development of methodologies, ensure regulatory alignment, and deliver actionable insights to support sound portfolio management across the company's asset management platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly risk reporting cycles
- Provide independent assessments of portfolio risk exposures
- Promote a strong risk culture and best practices across the management company
- Analyse holdings and transactions for concentration, credit quality, and liquidity
- Produce and enhance risk analytics and regulatory reports (e.g., VaR, stress tests, back-testing)
- Evaluate potential investments and assess their impact on portfolio risk
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support senior management and investment teams
- Maintain data integrity across risk systems and tools
- Review and update risk policies to ensure UCITS/AIFMD compliance
- Support internal and external audits on risk-related matters
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Tax, and Operations
- Respond to stakeholder queries and provide clear explanations of risk metrics
- Drive process improvements and contribute to strategic projects
- Stay informed on industry developments and evolving regulatory standards
Key Requirements
- Master's degree in finance or a related field with a focus on asset or risk management
- 6+ years of experience in a risk function within asset management
- Strong understanding of UCITS and AIFMD regulatory frameworks
- Proficient in risk modelling and statistical analysis
- Familiarity with credit, liquidity, and concentration risk concepts
- Knowledge of fund accounting indicators and financial instruments
- Experience with tools such as Python, SQL, GitHub, and PowerBI is a plus
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong ethics, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, international environment
