Selby Jennings is partnering with a well-capitalized, vertically integrated real estate investment firm based in Austin, TX. The firm specializes in opportunistic real estate and credit investments across the U.S., with a focus on complex transactions including land development, distressed assets, and structured finance.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Associate to join the investment team. This individual will be involved in all aspects of the investment process-from sourcing and underwriting to execution and asset management-within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for real estate and credit investments.
- Conduct due diligence, market research, and risk analysis on potential acquisitions.
- Prepare investment committee materials and support deal execution from LOI through closing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party partners to monitor asset performance and identify value-add opportunities.
- Assist in capital raising efforts by preparing investor materials and supporting relationship management.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in real estate private equity across more than one asset class.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
- Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals and capital markets.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
