A global alternative investment firm is launching a new specialist division dedicated to the rapidly expanding data centre sector. Backed by a well‑established platform with a strong track record across international private markets, the firm is partnering with a publicly listed company to launch a new investment vehicle.
Operating as a subsidiary to the broader group, this division has a significant growth mandate and strong institutional support. As part of its expansion into Europe, the firm is seeking a senior leader to head Investor Relations and Capital Raising from its London office, with the opportunity to earn equity.
Role Responsibilities
In this highly visible and strategic role, you will serve as the senior ambassador for the division, building the IR function and leading its engagement with the global investor community.
Leadership & Strategic Build‑Out
- Build and lead the investor relations platform for the new data centre strategy.
- Define and execute the capital‑raising strategy across Europe and other key markets.
- Represent the new division externally as its primary spokesperson to investors.
Investor Relations & Capital Raising
- Develop and deepen relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and wealth platforms.
- Lead fundraising campaigns for the India data centre opportunity, clearly articulating the strategy, structure, and value proposition.
- Prepare and manage all investor materials including teasers, pitch decks, DDQs, and market updates.
- Partner closely with the listed company involved in launching this new vehicle to ensure aligned communication and governance standards.
- Understand and translate listed‑company dynamics to investors, including disclosures, regulatory expectations, and corporate structure.
- Collaborate with finance, corporate development, and senior leadership to support strategic initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
- 8-16 years of experience across investor relations and capital raising.
- Strong track record of engaging European institutional investors.
- Confident communicator with high credibility and presence - able to be the face of a newly launched division.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast‑moving, build‑from‑scratch environment.
- Experience raising capital for private markets, data centres / digital infra is a plus.
- Willingness to travel across Europe for investor engagement.
