Quantitative Researcher
I'm working directly with a team of Quantitative Portfolio Managers at an international quantitative trading firm as they build out a greenfield Quantitative Research (QR) department within their NYC office. The firm has been operating for over 20 years and is well-established in both U.S. and international markets.
The PMs are specifically focused on developing short- to medium-frequency trading strategies across cash equities and futures products. In this role, you will contribute to full-stack alpha research and strategy development. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with industry veterans who have tier-1 quantitative trading backgrounds, as they continue to scale their systematic trading businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and implement multi-asset quantitative trading strategies
- Conduct large-scale data analysis and extract alpha using statistical and machine learning models
- Perform research on portfolio construction and optimization
- Analyze algorithmic execution and trading performance to identify slippage, market impact, and other inefficiencies
Requirements:
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline (STEM)
- Proficiency in Python and C++
- End-to-end experience in alpha research and strategy implementation
- Expertise in statistical modeling and data analysis
