We are partnered with a dynamic and growing commercial real estate firm based in Tampa, FL, specializing in the acquisition, development, and management of high-performing assets across the Southeast looking to add a Controller to their growing team. You will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the VP of Accounting, ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Property Controller Functions:

  • Oversee Financial Management of Real Estate Assets

  • Prepare GAAP-Compliant Financial Statements Manage Lease Accounting and Revenue Recognition

  • Develop and Monitor Property Budgets

  • Track Capital Projects and Investment Returns Ensure Compliance and Internal Controls Partner with Cross-Functional Teams

  • Ensure Compliance and Internal Controls and Partner with Cross-Functional Teams
     
Property Controller Qualifications:
 * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
 * 7-10 years of progressive experience in accrual and property accounting for commercial real estate.
 * CPA certification is desired.
 * Experience with Yardi Voyager is required
