Our client:

A global financial institution with a large international footprint and a long-standing presence in Germany. Its local branch provides a broad range of financial services to corporate and institutional clients and plays an important role in the organization's European operations. To strengthen its operational risk and security capabilities, the institution is seeking an experienced professional to take on a central role in information security management.

Position: Information Security Officer (all genders)

Location: Frankfurt am Main (onsite)

Languages: English & Mandarin (C1+)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise senior management on defining and updating information security policies and support the resolution of conflicting objectives.
  • Ensure that information security goals and measures defined in the IT strategy, security policy, and internal guidelines are communicated and that compliance is monitored internally and with third parties.
  • Prepare and maintain internal information security guidelines and other relevant rules and oversee compliance.
  • Coordinate and manage information security processes, including the oversight of IT service providers involved in security-related work.
  • Initiate and oversee the implementation of information security measures across the institution.
  • Monitor the fulfillment of information security requirements within projects.
  • Support the development and updating of contingency and emergency plans with regard to information security.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all information security-related inquiries from within the institution and from external parties.
  • Review information security incidents and report them to senior management.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver information security awareness initiatives and training sessions.

Profile Requirements:

  • Fluency in English & Mandarin (C1+) - German is a bonus!
  • Several years of experience in information security management or cyber security.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
  • Extensive experience in managing and steering projects.
  • Certified Information Security Officer or an equivalent certification is a bonus!
