European L/O Fund Sales Director

A leading investment manager with substantial global assets under management is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial sales professional to lead fund distribution efforts across Europe. With offices in major financial centres, the firm is recognised for its strong distribution capabilities and deep expertise in equity markets. This role will focus on promoting a diverse range of strategies, including an established long-only equity franchise and a growing alternatives platform spanning private equity and private credit.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business development across institutional and wholesale channels, engaging with asset allocators, family offices, wealth managers, and intermediaries. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with global teams and contribute to the firm's European growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales initiatives across European markets targeting institutional and wholesale investors
  • Build and maintain relationships with asset allocators, family offices, and wealth managers
  • Represent the firm's UCITS fund range and articulate the value of alternative strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams across global offices to ensure effective client engagement
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to onboarding and relationship management
  • Provide client servicing support including account setup and investor communications

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven success in asset management sales with European investor coverage
  • Experience marketing emerging market equity strategies
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in lean, hands-on environments
  • Strong understanding of asset allocator needs and institutional processes
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
