We are partnering on a confidential search for a Director of Finance / Controller to join a growing investment platform in a senior, hands‑on leadership role. This position offers meaningful exposure to ownership, executive decision‑making, and the ability to shape the finance function as the business continues to scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting and financial reporting function, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close
- Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and scalable processes
- Partner closely with ownership and senior leadership on strategy and key decisions
- Support investment activity, deal analysis, and ongoing portfolio reporting
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
Qualifications
- Experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, or similar senior finance leadership role
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
- Experience in investment management, real estate, private capital, or a closely held growth environment preferred
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on in a dynamic organization
- High level of judgment, ownership mindset, and attention to detail
- CPA or equivalent experience preferred but not required
