DevOps Lead
We are representing a leading algorithmic trading company based in Amsterdam, and we're searching for a DevOps Lead who excels at navigating complex engineering challenges, building resilient systems, and shaping high‑performance infrastructure in a mission‑critical environment.
As the DevOps Lead, you will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and scaling the systems that power advanced trading strategies. You'll provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and partner with development and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, efficient, and robust deployment processes.
Your work will directly influence engineering velocity, platform reliability, and the long-term scalability of production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Drive automation across build, test, and deployment processes
- Architect, maintain, and optimize containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Enhance observability, security, and performance within production environments
- Promote best practices for Infrastructure as Code and system reliability
- Partner with development, security, and operations teams to streamline delivery
- Mentor DevOps engineers and guide technical strategy
The Candidate
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python)
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalents
- Deep expertise with IaC and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Helm)
- Advanced proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
- Demonstrated leadership experience - mentoring, guiding, or driving initiatives
