DevOps Engineer - Leading Financial Services Firm
Our client is a leading global financial institution with a strong presence in electronic trading across capital markets. They operate high-performance, low-latency platforms supporting real-time trading activity for global clients, with a strong focus on reliability and technology-driven innovation.
This is a front-office aligned DevOps role supporting FX and Fixed Income trading systems. You will work closely with trading and quant teams to ensure production stability, resolve incidents, and build automation to improve performance and day-to-day operations.
- Support and maintain electronic trading and order management platforms (FX/FI)
- Manage production incidents, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a time-critical environment
- Partner with traders, quants, and clients to support daily trading operations
- Develop automation tools and scripts (primarily in Python)
- Handle onboarding of clients and trading venues
- Perform deployments, upgrades, and system maintenance (including weekends where required)
- Use SQL/KDB for analysis, reporting, and issue investigation
- Monitor systems proactively and respond to alerts
- Experience supporting or developing electronic trading systems (FX or Fixed Income preferred)
- Background in a global bank, trading firm, or similar front-office environment
- Strong Linux/Unix and networking fundamentals
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with SQL and/or KDB/Q
- Understanding of production support / ITIL frameworks
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, real-time environment
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
