Credit Officer (m/f/d)

For our client, a leading global financial institution, we are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated
professional to join the Credit Risk team at Vice President level.


This high-impact role involves managing a diverse portfolio of Financial Institutions while supporting
strategic initiatives across markets and structured finance.


The position focuses on evaluating credit applications in line with internal policies, risk appetite, and
regulatory standards. It requires strong financial analysis skills to assess creditworthiness and
recommend sound, responsible lending terms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth credit analysis of Financial Institutions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions.
  • Manage trading exposure, including Potential Future Exposure (PFE).
  • Negotiate legal terms in trading agreements (e.g., ISDA, GMRA).
  • Lead and contribute to strategic and ad hoc projects independently.
  • Build and maintain high-value client relationships.
  • Monitor credit performance and identify early warning signs.
  • Evaluate risk profiles considering industry trends, financials, collateral, and market conditions.
  • Make independent credit decisions aligned with internal policies and regulatory
  • requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies for distressed exposures, including restructuring or
  • collections.


Vice President-Level Expectations

  • Shape strategy, drive change, and influence cross-functional initiatives.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and policies; ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Provide leadership, whether through direct team management or subject matter expertise.
  • Guide and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to long-term strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate across departments to align with business goals and strategies.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven experience in credit risk analysis within Financial Institutions.
  • Strong understanding of trading exposures and legal documentation.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and resilient mindset.
